Project
Title: Continual learning in deep neural networks for structural health monitoring.
Summary:
My research focuses on developing innovative methods to train machine learning models on non-stationary time series data. These methods aim to empower machine learning algorithms for concurrent analysis and forecasting of multi-sensor, spatiotemporal time series data. The primary objective is to accurately depict damage in less-than-ideal scenarios and reflect the dynamic aspects of structural behavior. This increases the confidence and robustness of the structural health monitoring system which will in turn allow for better decision-making for proactive structural maintenance.
