Title: Development of an ordered categorical model for the probabilistic prediction of bridge wear over time on a network scale.

Summary:
The implementation of a categorical ordered probabilistic approach, based on the analysis of data from visual inspections of bridges, considering the uncertainty surrounding the inspectors. This approach will not only allow predicting degradation over time but also making degradation forecasts while maintaining inspection standards, such as the behavior value (CEC) and the A, B, C, and D grading system. Furthermore, it should maintain the sharing of characteristics among the different bridges in the network, using characteristic data such as age, material, and location. These mathematical developments will enable the proposal of a decision support tool to optimize maintenance operation planning and ensure the safety and sustainability of bridge infrastructure, initially in the province of Quebec, then in other regions.
